Coverage details

Covers US-395 from June Lake Junction and the Conway Summit / Bridgeport side to Lee Vining — some nearby roads aren't monitored. See what's included.

This status covers two known Lee Vining access paths on US-395: the south approach from June Lake Junction / S Jct. 158 at Mono postmile 40.40 north to Lee Vining City Limits at postmile 51.30, and the north approach from Foot of Conway / 8 Mi. N of Lee Vining at postmile 59.50 south to the same city-limits terminal. Together, those approaches answer the US-395 access question for the Lee Vining and Mono City hub serving Lee Vining, Mono Lake, South Tufa, and the eastern Yosemite gateway community.

It doesn't include US-395 south of S Jct. 158 or north of Foot of Conway / 8 Mi. N of Lee Vining; SR-120 west toward Tioga Pass or east of its US-395 junction; SR-167; or Mono County local roads beyond the two modeled approaches, including local access to Mono Lake and South Tufa. June Lake and June Lake Junction remain under the separate June Lake page. The Lee Vining and June Lake pages reference each other's coverage boundaries without widening either destination verdict. The Lee Vining page directs travelers to the National Park Service for in-park Tioga Road status and does not answer whether Tioga Pass is open.

Conditions can change quickly in the mountains. This page never replaces chain requirements, closures, or official Caltrans guidance. This boundary supports no claim about US-395 south of S Jct. 158 or north of Foot of Conway / 8 Mi. N of Lee Vining, SR-120, SR-167, Mono County local roads, or in-park Tioga Road status. Neither surface makes a safe-to-drive or all-clear claim.
